Estimates, not entitlements

The estimators illustrate how the Age Pension assets test and income test work using rates published by Services Australia. They do not assess eligibility (including Age Pension age and residence requirements) and do not model every rule that can affect a payment, including the Work Bonus, Rent Assistance, transitional rates, overseas rates, blind pension provisions, defined benefit deductible amounts, lifetime income stream concessions, gifting and deprivation rules, or hardship provisions. Your actual entitlement can only be determined by Services Australia.

Accuracy and currency

We take care to keep rates and thresholds current and show the edition of the Guide to Australian Government Payments in use on each estimator. Rates change on 20 March, 1 July and 20 September each year, and rules can change at any time. We do not guarantee that the information is complete, accurate or up to date at the moment you use it.
